What we look at during your visit

Corneal Mapping

We map the surface of your cornea in detail to check for irregularities that may be affecting your vision or comfort — and to ensure any contact lenses fit your eye precisely.

Pupil Response

We measure how your pupils respond to light under different conditions — helpful context for understanding your overall eye health and any light sensitivity you may be experiencing.

Tear Film Stability

We measure how quickly your tears evaporate — one of the most telling signs of dry eye. This test is completely non-invasive, no drops or dyes required.

Eyelid Gland Imaging

Your eyelids contain tiny oil-producing glands that keep tears from evaporating too fast. We take detailed images to check if these glands are blocked, damaged, or functioning well — this is one of the most common and overlooked causes of dry eye.

Tear Volume

We measure the actual amount of tears your eyes are producing to determine whether you have enough moisture — or whether your eyes are simply not making enough tears to stay comfortable.

Redness & Lid Health

High-resolution color imaging lets us evaluate redness and eyelid inflammation in detail — conditions that often go hand-in-hand with dry eye and can make symptoms significantly worse if left unaddressed.

Surface Staining

Using specialized imaging, we can see areas where the surface of your eye has been damaged by dryness — even damage that isn't visible to the naked eye and that you may not yet feel.

Tear Film Lipid Layer

We assess the oily outer layer of your tears that prevents evaporation. If this layer is thin or uneven, tears dry up faster than they should — and we can see exactly how yours is performing.

Symptom Questionnaires

Before your exam, you'll complete two short questionnaires about how dry eye is affecting your daily life — things like screen time, driving at night, or sensitivity to wind. Your answers help us understand the full picture, not just what the imaging shows.

Standardized Grading

Every finding is graded against internationally validated clinical scales — so your results are consistent, well-documented, and easy to track over time as your treatment progresses.

Backed by the latest clinical research. Our testing approach follows the most current international guidelines for dry eye diagnosis — so you can trust that every finding is thorough, evidence-based, and nothing gets missed.
